MEMORIES

Hope receding - we continue talking

Locked doors

Chains on - we are still in bondage

Where is the way out?

Who is there?

Time is ticking by

Remember past years?

They never die - they live in memory.

I remember foreign skies - ever so clear

A quiet acceptance - let peace reign.

Full lips, sensual, erotic

Beautiful in my eyes

Plantains, give me a slice

More to my face than what you care to see

She was a man, I am all woman.

Murderous intent

Hurt, blood, sweat, broken images, tears

Friendships rare - kinships dear

I see my face in all their faces

We're still weeping.

Although we cannot see

Our faith grows

There's hope for tomorrow.
